Rewrite what you've selected

Select some text, start dictating the usual way, and say what you want. If it's not an instruction, what you say simply replaces the selection.

“make this more polite” / “more professional” / “friendlier”the same message in that tone
“shorter” / “make it one sentence”a tighter version
“turn this into bullet points”a list
“fix the grammar”corrected text, your words kept
“translate to Spanish”the selection in Spanish

Snippets

Save text you type often in Settings → Dictionary (or on your account page), then say its name.

SayYou get
“insert my address”your saved address
“…thanks again, add my signature”the sentence, then your signature

Tips

Say commands as their own beat: “…Saturday, question mark, new paragraph…”. No long pause needed.

Names and jargon: add them to your Dictionary. When you fix a name Yarn got wrong, it learns the spelling.

Yarn carries on from the text before your cursor, so a new sentence gets a capital and a continued one doesn't.
